Jalpaiguri, 22nd April: Multiple people were injured in a road accident on Monday night while travelling to a wedding ceremony in the Raninagar area of Jalpaiguri.
As per local sources, around 10 to 12 people were travelling from Domohani in Maynaguri to the Battala area of Raninagar in a small vehicle to attend a wedding. While travelling along the Siliguri-Jalpaiguri 31D National Highway, their vehicle collided with a larger vehicle from behind in the Raninagar area.
The collision caused several injuries and left the vehicle damaged. Local residents promptly rescued the injured and admitted them to Jalpaiguri Super Specialty Hospital.
Following the incident, personnel from the Jalpaiguri Highway Traffic Police reached the scene and initiated an investigation into the accident.
