Falakata, 03rd September: An unusual death has caused a sensation in Falakata. A young woman from Ghoksadanga, who married a man from Deogaon in Falakata seven months ago, was found dead in her in-laws’ house on Monday night.
According to reports, the woman had been staying at her father’s house for some time and returned to her in-laws’ residence just two days before the incident. Family members discovered her hanging inside the house late Monday and immediately informed the Falakata police.
The police arrived at the scene, recovered the body, and transported it to Falakata Super Specialty Hospital. Falakata BDO Aneek Roy, acting as Magistrate, was present at the hospital along with the Falakata Police Officer and Deogaon Gram Panchayat Pradhan Serina Khatun.
The body is scheduled to be sent to Alipurduar District Hospital for a post-mortem examination as the police continue their investigation into the incident.
