Segun wood worth close to Rs 20 lakhs recovered in Siliguri

Siliguri, 08th October: The forest workers of Sarugara Range recovered Segun wood worth lakhs, on Thursday night. However, no arrest has been made in the incident.


Reportedly, the forest workers under the leadership of Ranger Sanjay Dutta of Sarugara Range raided the bypass area near Fulbari on Thursday late night and recovered a large quantity of Segun wood.

According to forest department sources, the timber was intended to be smuggled from Arunachal Pradesh to Bihar in a lorry. The estimated market value of the recovered timber is around Rs 20 lakh.
