Jalpaiguri, 03rd March: A security guard lost his life after being hit by a car in the Jalpaiguri Plane Ghati area, on Tuesday night. The deceased has been identified as Apan Roy (27), a resident of the Jalpaiguri Paschim Sewa village.
The incident occurred when Roy, during his duty hours, was allegedly hit by a car from behind. He was rushed to the hospital, however, the doctors declared him dead.
Police handed over the body to the family after conducting an autopsy on Wednesday. The Kotwali police have started an investigation into the incident.
