Alipurduar, 09th August: A tragic accident claimed the life of a school teacher in Alipurduar when he was hit by a bus on Friday morning. The victim, identified as Bhajan Saha, was a resident of Barobisha and taught at Ghargharia High School.
According to reports, Bhajan Saha was on his way to school, riding his motorcycle along the Salsalabari National Highway. A government bus, which reportedly lost control, collided with his bike, causing him to fall under the vehicle.
The bus driver immediately stopped, and passengers rushed to pull Saha out from under the bus. Despite their efforts, when police arrived at the scene, Saha was rushed to Alipurduar District Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
