School enrollment fraud in Siliguri, teacher and accomplice arrested

Siliguri, 23rd May: Bhakti Nagar police have arrested a teacher and her accomplice for allegedly taking money under the pretense of securing school admissions. The accused have been identified as Meghna Saha, a teacher, and her friend, Soumyadeep Saha.


According to reports, the incident occurred during the admission process at a private school located on Sevoke Road. A parent arrived with a receipt for their child’s enrollment, which the school management identified as forged. Upon questioning, the parents revealed that Meghna Saha, their child’s teacher, had taken thousands of rupees and provided the fraudulent receipt.

Following this revelation, the school management filed a written complaint at Bhakti Nagar police station on Wednesday. During the investigation, the police arrested Meghna Saha and Soumyadeep Saha. Both suspects were produced in Jalpaiguri court on Thursday.
