Gangtok, 18th May: A tragic incident unfolded this morning in Makha, Sikkim, as a school bus overturned, causing injuries to several young students, including the driver. The bus was reportedly carrying 26 students at the time of the accident.
Swift action was taken following the mishap, with the injured students and the driver quickly transported to Singtam Hospital for immediate first aid. Unfortunately, 12 students, along with the driver, are said to be in critical condition and were transferred to STNM Hospital in Gangtok for further medical treatment. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the cause of the accident.
