Siliguri, 11th November: A school bus in Siliguri was involved in a serious accident earlier on Monday. Reportedly, the driver of the school bus was allegedly under the influence of alcohol, leading to the crash. Despite the severity of the incident, all the children on the bus were reported to be safe.
The incident occurred when the bus collided with a stationary vehicle near the Fulbari Traffic Point. The impact of the crash caused a chain reaction, with the first vehicle hitting a second vehicle. As a result, two individuals in the vehicles were injured and were later admitted to the hospital.
Upon receiving news of the accident, police from the Fulbari Traffic Unit and NJP police station arrived at the scene and detained the driver. The children were transferred to another vehicle to ensure their safe return home.
Local residents expressed their outrage over the incident, blaming the school management for allowing an intoxicated driver to operate the bus. They called for strict safety measures for school buses and better monitoring of drivers. The NJP police have taken the school bus and the damaged vehicles in custody, and an investigation into the incident is currently underway.
Law and order in siliguri is finished thanks to the inefficient police force and administration failures
