Siliguri, 30th May: An atmosphere of tension engulfed the Siliguri Ward No. 38 Pal Para area after an unidentified man was spotted roaming around in the locality.
As per the information, the locals sighted a 60-year-old man walking around in the area. Upon questioning him, the man conversed in Hindi and had no definite answers regarding his whereabouts. Sensing something suspicious, the locals then reported the matter to Ward Co-ordinator Dulal Dutta. The locals also informed the Bhaktinagar police after they sighted the seal of a health center pasted on his left hand. The police reached the scene shortly after and took him to North Bengal Medical College-Hospital.
The police, upon questioning the man, learned that his name is Nitish Kumar and he is a resident of Bihar Paliganj Police station area. Further investigation has been launched into the incident.
Meanwhile, the entire area was sanitized after the man was taken to NBMCH.
