Siliguri, 19th December: Sangami Samyukta Mancha has joined the movement to demand transparent recruitment in government offices and also demanded to clear the outstanding DA.
Reportedly, the agitators gathered at the Junior Hindi High School ground adjacent to Tinbatti More, Siliguri and commenced the said rally. They had plans for the Uttarkanya campaign, but the police stopped the agitators at Tinbatti More. After this, the members of the organization started protesting by sitting on the road. Later, a delegation of five members of the organization went to Uttarkanya and handed over a memorandum to the officials.
Organization’s convenor Bhaskar Ghosh said that they have been protesting for a long time regarding the said two demands and alleged of the state government not paying any heed towards their demands and cited their reason for the protest.
