Siliguri, 17th October: On Tuesday, Salesian College organized a felicitation programme for school principals of Siliguri and adjoining areas to mark the institution’s conferment as the first college under the University of North Bengal bestowed with Autonomous status by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and North Bengal University (NBU).
According to reports, principals of sixty-four schools from the ICSE, CBSE, and WBSCHE Boards were invited to the event. Significantly, Fr (Dr) Babu Joseph, the principal of Salesian College, honoured the school principals in attendance. Additionally, the college invited Anirban Biswas, Head of Centre for Information and Resource Management, University of North Bengal, to present an interesting session on “Changing Contours of Education: From School to College”.
