Salbari Traffic Guard launches strict drive against encroachments in Siliguri

Siliguri, 29th January: The Salbari Traffic Guard of Siliguri Metropolitan Police conducted a strict drive against encroachments on Thursday. A special operation was carried out at Darjeeling More on National Highway 55, during which illegally placed shops and stalls on the road were removed.

According to traffic officials, shopkeepers who had repeatedly been warned for occupying roads and footpaths continued their illegal activities. Encroachments from Darjeeling More to Sukna and Salbari market were causing significant traffic disruption, prompting the administration to take strict action.

During the drive, goods placed on roads and footpaths, as well as several illegally parked vehicles, were seized. The Salbari Traffic Guard issued a clear warning that strict measures against encroachments will continue in the future.
