Siliguri, 25th May: The residents of Salbari area, on Monday morning, staged a protest over setting up a quarantine center in the Siliguri Institute of Technology (SIT) campus and claimed that taking such an initiative can easily spread the deadly virus in the locality.
The agitated locals gathered outside the college gate today and staged demonstrations. They stated that although no positive case has emerged from the area as of now, setting up a quarantine center can easily spread the virus.
However, the administrative officials reached the spot later and brought the situation under control.
