Naxalbari, 23rd September: The Sabhadhipati’s Panel has won an overwhelming majority in the Naxalbari Byabasayee Samiti election, securing 19 out of 25 seats. The election results were finalized late Sunday night, following the vote count which began after Thursday’s voting at Naxalbari Marwari Bhavan.
The counting process took place across four tables in seven stages, concluding late at night. As soon as the results were announced, the victorious traders celebrated their success.
On the election field, Sabhadhipati, Pradhan, Upa Pradhan, local representatives, and leaders competed against outgoing board members and opposition businessmen.
Sabhadhipati Arun Ghosh expressed his gratitude to the traders on Monday, promising that development work would continue and many issues would be addressed.
Despite some counter complaints, Dharmendra Pathak, the outgoing board’s secretary, expressed optimism about collaborating with the new Byabasayee Samiti to work towards further development.
