Sabhadhipati Arun Ghosh visits Naxalbari Rural Hospital

Naxalbari, 05th July: On Wednesday, Arun Ghosh, the Sabhadhipati of Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad, conducted a visit to Naxalbari Rural Hospital to assess the infrastructure and development initiatives undertaken. Accompanied by dignitaries including Block Development Officer (BDO) Arindam Mandal, Block Land Records Officer (BLRO) Biplab Haldar, President Anand Ghosh of Naxalbari Panchayat Samiti, as well as representatives of the Panchayat Samiti and Gram Panchayat, the Sabhadhipati inspected the hospital’s progress.


Reportedly, several developmental projects, including electrical upgrades, have been initiated at a cost of Rs. 50 lakhs. Furthermore, the construction work for the MPPH (Megalencephaly-polymicrogyria-polydactyly-hydrocephalus) unit is commencing at the hospital. During the visit, the Sabhadhipati carefully examined all the ongoing work. According to Ghosh, development projects totaling Rs 2 crores have been successfully completed, and the hospital has embarked on numerous new initiatives.

In addition to these developments, the MPPH unit at the hospital is expected to commence operations soon, providing patients with convenient access to blood tests. Any concerns regarding the hospital have been duly noted, and Swasthya Bhawan has been informed of the issues concerning the medical staff.
