Siliguri, 24th November: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) launched an awareness drive at Hawker’s Corner, near the Mahabirstan Railway track and crossing in Siliguri, to prevent accidents.
As part of the initiative, RPF officers engaged with local people, educating them about the dangers of crossing the railway track and the importance of maintaining safety at the crossing points. They specifically warned the public against parking vehicles along the railway tracks, which can obstruct the passage and pose a risk to both pedestrians and drivers.
In addition to raising awareness, the RPF issued fines to individuals who were found parking their vehicles illegally along the tracks. The drive is part of ongoing efforts to ensure safety and prevent accidents in the area.
