Siliguri, 13th November: The ‘Rojgar Mela 2.0’ is set to be organised at Salesian College in Siliguri on the 15th and 16th of November. The announcement was made by Rajya Sabha MP and President of Darjeeling Welfare Society, Harsh Vardhan Shringla, during a press conference on Thursday.
Shringla stated that online registration for the fair has already begun, while candidates who could not register online can do so at the college premises on the morning of 15th November. The fair aims to create employment opportunities not only in Siliguri and nearby areas but also with reputed national and international organisations. Special training and interview preparation sessions will also be conducted for job seekers.
Last year’s employment fair, held in Darjeeling, successfully provided jobs to around 300 individuals. This year, the event is being organised on a much larger scale, with over 60 reputed companies participating and more than 10,000 vacancies available. Over 10,000 candidates have already registered for the event.
The inaugural ceremony will be attended by Union Ministers, MPs, MLAs, and other distinguished guests.
