Siliguri, 15th November: A major robbery attempt was foiled after NJP Police arrested four miscreants from the Kailash Maidan area of Surya Sen Colony on Friday night. The arrested individuals have been identified as Bikram Barman, Subrata Dey, Toton Mistri, and Ekramul Haque.
According to police sources, several miscreants had gathered in the area and were planning a major criminal operation. Acting on a tip-off, NJP Police launched an operation, during which some suspects managed to flee, but four were apprehended.
Police recovered various tools and equipment suspected to be used for robbery. The four accused were produced before the Jalpaiguri court on Saturday. Police are investigating the entire incident.
