Siliguri, 11th January: A major robbery attempt was thwarted by the Siliguri police in a swift operation, leading to the arrest of four criminals before they could carry out their plan. The arrested individuals have been identified as Niki Das, Mustak Miya, Toton Mandal, and Bubai Das.
According to police sources, a gang of 10-12 criminals had gathered late last night near the Indoor Stadium in the Deshbandhu Para area, planning to execute a major crime in the region. Acting on intelligence, the police launched an operation, successfully disrupting their robbery plans. However, many of the criminals managed to flee the scene, while four were apprehended by the police.
The arrested suspects were presented in Siliguri court on Saturday, and the police have begun searching for the remaining members of the gang.
