Siliguri, 25th May: Two shops in Bagdogra Haat, located just a few miles away from Siliguri city, were robbed after thieves broke into the shops by cutting the tin roof and breaking the walls respectively.
The matter came to light after the shop owners opened their shops and found them this morning. Upon receiving the news, the Bagdogra police the spot and initiated an investigation.
Meanwhile, the incident has brought resentment among the traders. They said that despite the Bagdogra police station being a mere 200 meters away from the shops, the thieves conveniently managed to escape after stealing. On the other hand, police sources say that one person has been detained on the ground of suspicion.
