Rajganj, 13th November: Road safety week was observed in Rajganj under the initiative of Rajganj police station and Jalpaiguri District Police.
The Road Safety Week was observed on Friday through ‘Safe Drive Save Life’ at Belakoba Battala in Rajganj block. Awareness was raised among the motorcyclists regarding the traffic rules. Helmets and roses were also given to the riders not wearing helmets. Besides, reflectors were installed on bicycles to prevent accidents, and masks were distributed among several pedestrians.
Rajganj MLA Khageshwar Roy, Rajganj Panchayat Samiti President Purnima Roy, Jalpaiguri District Superintendent of Police Pradeep Kumar Yadav, Additional Superintendent of Police Sandeep Mandal, DSP Traffic Malay Kumar Das, DSP Headquarters Pradeep Kumar Sarkar, CI Sadar Dipajjal Bhowmick, Subrata Saha and many others were present during the programme.
