Road repair commences in Siliguri’s Ward No. 40 after resident complains in ‘Talk to Mayor’ program

Siliguri, 27th July: On Saturday, Sameer Arya, a resident of Ward No. 40, expressed his dismay over the poor condition of the roads in the area and the issue of waterlogging during rainy days during the ‘Talk to Mayor’ program. After receiving the complaint, the mayor assured to address the problem and take necessary actions to repair the roads.

Subsequently, Ward Councilor Rajesh Prasad Sah engaged in discussions with the residents of the ward and visited the area to assess the situation. He witnessed the poor condition of the road in Khai Khai Bazaar, adjacent to Ektiasal, which had been in a deteriorating state for an extended period. During the rainy season, the accumulation of water made it challenging to navigate through the road.

In response to the concerns raised, the mayor instructed the councillor to take immediate action, leading to the initiation of road repair work in the area.
