Rajganj, 14th January: A motorbike rider sustained serious injuries in a road accident near Jotiakali on the Siliguri-Jalpaiguri National Highway on Saturday. The injured has been identified as Mohammad Alam (40). He is a resident of Golabari area of Rajganj.
According to local sources, a private bus running behind a truck lost its control after the said truck suddenly applied brakes while overtaking another vehicle. And like the trail of consequences, the motorbike behind the bus rammed into it, injuring the rider. The biker was rushed to a private hospital in Fulbari. Meanwhile, none of the passengers on the bus was injured.
On the other hand, after the incident, the driver fled away along with the truck. Cops of Fulbari Traffic Guard and NJP police station reached the spot and launched an investigation into the entire incident.
