Lohapool, 08th June: 36-year-old Retired Army man Pranay Rai died in a road accident near Hanuman Temple on National Highway-10 this morning.
According to police sources, the Ex-Army man was heading to Siliguri from Mungpoo in his pickup van and was driving by himself. The vehicle suddenly lost control and fell about 500 feet from the road near Hanuman Temple and crashed around 5 am this morning. Upon receiving the news of the accident, the Rambi police reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem.
Reportedly, Pranay Rai, a resident of Mungpoo Rambi Bich Kaman, had retired from the Indian Army only seven months ago.
