Siliguri, 11th September: Debashree Chattopadhyay, the commanding officer of 12th Battalion of Dabgram, Siliguri, lost her life in a road accident at the Hooghly Dadpur police station area above Durgapur Expressway. The vehicle driver and her bodyguard also died in the accident.
According to sources, the deceased, on Thursday night, was heading towards Kolkata from Siliguri’s battalion headquarters. Today around 6 am, a sand-laden truck hit their vehicle, killing Debashree on the spot.
On the other hand, vehicle driver Manoj Saha and her bodyguard Tapash Barman were rescued and rushed to the hospital, where the doctors declared them dead.
Reportedly, the car was also severely damaged in the incident.
