Darjeeling, 07th April: Residents of Dr. Zhakir Hussain Road in Darjeeling protested against a 30 bedded quarantine facility being set up in the Youth Hostel.
As per the locals, they fear the COVID-19 will spread in the village as the Youth Hostel is in close proximity. They added that around 183 families reside in the area.
They further maintained that if a quarantine centre will be set up in the area, then the administration should ensure the people of their safety and health; and make arrangments of awareness camps regarding the virus.
