Fulbari, 12th September: On Tuesday, the residents of the Gathmabari area of Fulbari II Gram Panchayat (GP) staged a protest against the dilapidated condition of the road. During this, the protestors blocked the road and expressed their grievances.
According to the protestors, the said road has been in a dilapidated condition over a notable period of time. They alleged that the prevailing clouds of dust are resulting in respiratory issues. They added that several complaints have been made for the repair of the road; however, the conditions remained the same for which the protest was staged.
Upon receiving the news of the protest, the cops of New Jalpaiguri police station arrived at the scene and removed the roadblock.
