Siliguri, 05th October: Despite the lowered water level of Teesta River, the residents of Teesta Bazaar continue to live in fear as the scenario in Teesta’s Devgram is currently disastrous. In addition, national highways and stores in the area are gradually inundated.
Notably, several locals have run businesses in the area for years. However, a number of shops have been submerged in the depths of the river due to the current predicament. Numerous shops have reportedly collapsed while those still standing are gradually falling into the river. Consequently, the townspeople are concerned for their life and the future of the family as they demand assistance from the administration and leaders.
