Siliguri, 21st February: The renovation of Kanchenjungha Stadium in Siliguri is progressing rapidly. On Friday, Mayor Gautam Deb inspected the ongoing work, accompanied by Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar, MMIC Dilip Barman, and other officials.
According to reports, the east side of the stadium, where the SMKP office was previously located, is being completely demolished and rebuilt.
The project, costing over ₹10 crore, includes the construction of five guest rooms and three multipurpose hall rooms, which will be available for rent for various functions. Officials have confirmed that no trees will be cut for the construction work.
Mayor Gautam Deb stated that the renovation is expected to be completed by December this year.
