“Red was removed, but the country was not saved”: Mohammed Salim in Rajganj

Rajganj, 09th April: CPI(M) leader Mohammed Salim on Thursday criticised the prevailing political scenario, asserting that the country had not been saved despite the removal of Left forces. He made the remarks while addressing an election rally in Rajganj.

Salim was campaigning in support of CPI(M) candidate Kharendranath Roy near the Talma area under the Rajganj Assembly constituency. The public meeting witnessed the presence of leaders from the party’s block, district, and state committees, along with a large number of supporters and workers.

Criticising the current political establishment, Salim stated that Left ideology remains essential for safeguarding the interests of the common people. Referring to the slogan, he said, “Remove Red, Save the Country. Red was removed, but the country was not saved.”

He further called for strengthening the Red Flag to protect the nation, urging people to rally behind Left forces once again. According to him, citizens across the state have taken to the streets with renewed determination.

Highlighting growing participation, Salim noted that youths, tea garden workers, and farmers are actively joining the movement. He expressed confidence that this renewed support would bolster Left unity and influence in the upcoming elections.
