Siliguri, 23rd November: The Ratna Bhattacharya Smriti Raksha Samiti will organize a program in honor of the second death anniversary of Ratna Bhattacharya on November 27. The event will be held at the Dinabandhu Manch (Tathya Kendra) in Siliguri.
The event details were disclosed by veteran CPI (M) leader Ashok Bhattacharya through a press conference at the Siliguri Journalist Club. The event will feature a speech by Professor Sanjay Mukherjee (Mukhopadhyay) on Ratna Bhattacharya Memorial, including Bangladeshi Rabindra Sangeet musician Shama Rahman, a rising star in the field.
According to reports, during the press conference on Thursday, former mayor Ashok Bhattacharya noted that numerous cultural events will be held annually to commemorate the day. The event is scheduled to commence on November 27, followed by a speech by Professor Sanjay Mukherjee at around 6:30 p.m. The event will proceed with a Ranbindra Sangeet performance by Shama Rahman.
