Siliguri, 08th January: Trinamool leader Ranjan Sarkar expressed outrage over the role of Siliguri Municipal Corporation for various mismanagement in the city.
During a press conference on Friday, Ranjan Sarkar held Ashok Bhattacharya responsible for the absence of an alternative crematorium in Siliguri; due to which the citizens are facing numerous difficulties. Sarkar further stated that the SMC has no details regarding the people coming from outside and settling in the city.
He said that while the state government is distributing land leases in all slums and colonies, several people are trying to spread confusion regarding the ‘Duare Sarkar’ programme. Apart from borough offices, all the projects of the state government are also being carried out in Bangla Sahayata Kendras.
