Siliguri, 19th August: In an effort to strengthen the relationship between the police and the public, the Siliguri Police Commissionerate celebrated Raksha Bandhan in Siliguri on Monday.
The festival was observed by traffic guards throughout the city, including at the Siliguri Junction Traffic Guard. Police personnel tied rakhi on the wrists of passersby, fostering a spirit of unity.
In this regard, Police Commissioner C. Sudhakar and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Bishwa Chandra Thakur were present at the event. Commissioner Sudhakar highlighted that the celebration aimed to convey the message that the police are committed to supporting and being part of the community.
