Phansidewa, 22nd May: In response to the tragic pickup van accident in Kantibhita of Phansidewa, BJP’s Darjeeling Lok Sabha constituency candidate Raju Bista visited Helagachh village on Tuesday to offer his condolences to the bereaved families and the injured.
Earlier on May 15, a pickup van en route to a wedding ceremony met with an accident, resulting in the deaths of three individuals and injuring several others. The incident left the local residents in shock and mourning.
Reportedly, Raju Bista expressed his deep sorrow over the tragedy and assured standing by the impacted family. Bista also highlighted concerns regarding the treatment of the injured, many of whom are still undergoing medical care at the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). Further, he criticized the role of the administration and assured intervening into the matter.
