Siliguri, 03rd October: Several call centres running without proper licence and documentation were busted in Siliguri. Most of these call centres were involved in defrauding people.
During a rally in Siliguri on Saturday, BJP state vice-president Raju Banerjee accused the Trinamool leaders of being involved in the crime. Meanwhile, Trinamool district president Ranjan Sarkar termed all of Banerjee’s allegations as baseless.
It is to be noted, several illegal call centers and friendship clubs were busted in many places in Siliguri. These centres were allegedly a hub for antisocial activities. Police are frequently conducting several raids at multiple areas in search of such illegal centres.
