Rajganj’s Tushar Kanti Roy to join Bhabha Atomic Research Center for research

Rajganj, 06th July: Tushar Kanti Roy, a resident of Malibhita village near Belakoba in the Rajganj block, has been selected to conduct research at the prestigious Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC) in Mumbai as a scientific officer. The news has brought immense pride and joy to his family and the entire Rajganj community.


 

Tushar, known for his academic excellence since childhood, has a challenging yet inspiring family background. His mother, Anima Roy, is a homemaker who supports the family through agriculture. His father, Subhash Roy, was a temporary employee in the education department and passed away three years ago. Tushar’s younger brother, Pranab Roy, is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at North Bengal University, with their mother making significant sacrifices to ensure both sons receive a good education.


 

Tushar completed his secondary and higher secondary education at Belakoba High School and earned a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Chemistry from Siliguri College. He then pursued an Master of Science at IIT Guwahati. This year, he successfully passed the GATE exam and applied for the position of Scientist at BARC, culminating in his acceptance.

 

Expressing his delight, Tushar stated that receiving the acceptance letter was a dream come true. He is thrilled to have the opportunity to conduct research at one of India’s foremost research institutions and aspires to contribute significantly to the country’s scientific advancements in the future.
