Rajganj, 14th July: Hudugachh village of Rajganj has been inundated due to incessant rains leaving the residents stranded. Following the collapse of bridges on both sides, the communications of the village have been cut off.
According to reports, along with other roads of the area, the connectivity of the two roads of Hudugachh of Majhiali Gram Panchayat, connecting other places of the area has been cut off due to the force of the rainwater. Following this, water has also entered several households. In this regard, the local residents demanded setting up a makeshift bamboo bridge to restore communication in the area.
Upon receiving the instructions of the Block Development Office, the representatives of Majhiali Gram Panchayat reached the area and provided the stranded residents with packed food and tarpaulin. Currently, the authorities are engaged in continued efforts for arranging an alternate route for the commute.
