Rajganj, 23rd July: Azima Khatoon, a student and resident of the Paschim Balabari area in Sanyasikata of Rajganj has been struggling for life due to a deadly disease. Her father Azizul Haque and mother Ayesha Kahtoon work as daily wage earners to support and run the family.
Reportedly, Azima topped the block in Madhyamik Examination from Balabari Akramia High Madrasa, despite all shortcomings. At present, she is a student of English Honors, second year, at Suryasen Mahavidyalaya in Siliguri.
A few days ago, Azima fell ill and was taken to the doctor for consultation. During this, it was found that Azima is suffering from a fatal disease called SLE, an Auto-Immune Disease. Following the shocking diagnosis, sorrow gripped the entire family. Subsequently, Azima was admitted to a private hospital in Siliguri for immediate medical attention. The family, unable to afford the treatment expenses of several lakhs of rupees, as Azima has to be taken outside the state for further treatment, has appealed for help.
