Rajganj, 10th May: Rajganj Police made a significant discovery today as they found two packets of cannabis in a water reservoir located at Lal School Balabari, under Sannyasikata Gram Panchayat. The exact quantity of cannabis contained in the packets could not be determined at the time of the report.
According to local residents, the cannabis packets were spotted floating in the reservoir earlier in the day. Concerned about the presence of illegal substances, the matter was promptly reported to Rajganj Police. Responding swiftly, the police arrived at the scene and successfully retrieved the packets from the reservoir.
Addressing the issue, Roshan Habib, a member of Rajganj Panchayat Samiti, expressed alarm over the potential harm posed by such substances to society. Habib highlighted the unknown origin of the two cannabis packets found in the water reservoir. Referring to a recent incident involving the arrest of an individual in possession of banned cough syrup, the Panchayat member called for a thorough investigation by the police and urged them to take strict action regarding this latest matter.
