Rajganj, 28th March: Sensation prevailed after Rajganj police intercepted a four-wheeler and recovered cash of Rs 22,46,000 during Naka Checking. Along with the recovery of the said amount the police also arrested five people in the case.
Reportedly, the arrested accused have been identified as Gunjan Rai (33) of Darjeeling, Dhaneshwar Barman (48) of Jalpaiguri, Bhupen Barman (42) of Cooch Behar, Prahlad Barman (34), and Kamal Roy (30) of Maynaguri.
According to police sources, the said amount was recovered from a four-wheeler coming from Jalpaiguri during checking. The arrested accused were produced in the Jalpaiguri district court today. The police have started investigating the entire incident.
