Rajganj, 17th January: In a significant breakthrough, the officials of the Rajganj police station successfully arrested the accused mastermind behind the illegal call centre case in Belakoba. On Monday, the accused Saurabh Das, a resident of Chhoto Fapri of Siliguri, was arrested in the Ashighar area adjacent to Siliguri.
It is to be noted that last year on December 19, a residential accommodation in the Saheb Bari area of Belakoba in Rajganj block was raided by the police of the Belakoba Outpost in collaboration with the Rajganj police station. During this, five women and three men were arrested. In addition, several mobile phones, SIM cards, two laptops, and a four-wheeler were seized in the act. Subsequently, the Rajganj police arrested the mastermind following a detailed investigation of the incident.
Following this, the accused was produced in the court and taken into a 3-day police remand. At present, the case is under further investigation.
