Siliguri, 01st April: Condemning the shortage of essential commodities at a ration shop in Rajganj, the residents of Rajganj Paglahat staged a protest on Wednesday.
According to sources, a long queue was sighted at a ration shop in Pagalhat since Wednesday morning. Several people complained that ration was given to them in fewer quantities. Therefore, the protestors demanded the administration to dismiss the shopkeeper immediately.
Upon receiving the news, the Rajganj police and Rajganj BDO reached the spot. After hearing out the problems, the BDO stated that he will take necessary action against the vendor if a written complaint is lodged against him in the future.
