Rajganj, 16th December: The Trinamool Congress began its ‘Unnoyoner Panchali’ (Tale of Development) campaign in Rajganj on Tuesday. The programme was flagged off by Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy from Belakoba’s Battala More.
The event was attended by Sadar Block Trinamool Congress President Arjun Mondal, Rajganj Panchayat Samiti President Rupali Dey Sarkar, INTUC Block President Sheikh Omar Faruk, along with other local leaders and representatives from various regions.
With the Assembly elections scheduled for next year, the ruling party has launched this campaign to highlight the state government’s development achievements over the past 15 years. Special musical compositions, showcasing these accomplishments, have been prepared as part of the campaign.
Speaking at the event, MLA Khageswar Roy said, “From today, the ‘Unnoyoner Panchali’ campaign will cover 12 areas of the Rajganj Assembly constituency using 13 e-rickshaws (totos). The aim is to present the development record of the past 15 years to the people. Popular singer Iman Chakraborty’s song ‘Unnoyoner Panchali’ will be played during the campaign, which will continue across the constituency for the next month. Increasing public engagement is the primary goal of this initiative.”
