Rajganj, 18th February: In recent developments, Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy laid the foundation stone for the repair work of two roadways in Rajganj.
According to reports, the road leading to the Rajganj Rural Hospital was in dilapidated condition for a long time. On Sunday, Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy laid the foundation stone for the construction work of about 3.5-kilometer road starting from Panikauri More of Panikauri Gram Panchayat under Rajganj block via Rajganj Rural Hospital to Harihar High School. Significantly, the road is being constructed with the financial support of the WBSRDA department at an estimated budget of about Rs 3 crore 50 lakh. On the other hand, the Rajganj MLA laid another foundation stone of about 150-meter paper block road in the Babupara area under the Sukhani Gram Panchayat of Rajganj.
MLA Khageswar Roy stated that the road heading from Rajganj Rural Hospital to the School played a significant role and was in disrepair for a prolonged time. Thus, the repair work commenced marked by the foundation stone. He further added that the construction of the road would provide easier navigation to thousands of people.
