Rajganj, 26th November: In a significant development, Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy laid the foundation stone for the construction of a 200-meter road and a bathing ghat. The event witnessed the presence of Binnaguri Gram Panchayat Pradhan Samijuddin Ahmed, former Upa-Pradhan Tushar Dutta, Bijoy Das, Kanailal Biswas, and other public representatives.
According to reports, on Sunday, the foundation stone was laid to officially mark the beginning of the construction of the road in the Laxmi Jote area under Binnaguri Gram Panchayat of Rajganj Block. Apart from that a foundation stone was laid for the construction of a permanent bathing ghat near Maa Ganga Mandir along the banks of the Karotoya River in Ambari. The work is being executed with financial assistance from the MLA’s fund at an estimated budget of Rs 7 lakhs.
Speaking at the event, Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy stated that the local residents of the area had been demanding proper road and bathing ghat for a prolonged time. In view of the demands, the construction work has commenced in efforts to benefit the general public and the devotees.
