Rajganj, 25th February: Khageswar Roy laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects including a concrete road, drainage system and an open stage in the Rajganj Assembly constituency.
On Wednesday, the MLA inaugurated the construction of a nearly 1.5-kilometre concrete road at Mahamaya Colony under Binnaguri Gram Panchayat. The road will be built at an estimated cost of approximately ₹24 lakh funded by the Jalpaiguri Zilla Parishad.
In addition, the foundation stone was laid for an open stage at Ambari Falakata Chinta Mohan High School. Work on constructing a concrete drain in the Sahudangi area was also formally initiated.
Among those present at the programme were Jalpaiguri Zilla Parishad member Ranbir Majumdar, Rajganj Panchayat Samiti Sabhapati Rupali Dey Sarkar, Panchayat Samiti member Sarbani Dhara, Block Trinamool Congress president Arindam Banerjee, Binnaguri Gram Panchayat Pradhan Samijuddin Ahmed, Bijoy Das, Prafulla Roy and others.
