Rajganj, 13th November: On Wednesday, Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy laid the foundation stone for constructing a multi-storage market complex at Belakoba Bazaar. This initiative aims to modernize Belakoba Bazaar in the Shikarpur Gram Panchayat under Rajganj. The project, with an estimated cost of around ₹6.5 crore, will be funded by the Agricultural Marketing Department.
During the ceremony, MLA Khageswar Roy highlighted that the long-standing demand of the residents of Belakoba for a new market complex has now been completed. The new multi-storage facility will house 96 shops spread across three floors. The project will benefit local businesses and the general public by improving the market infrastructure.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Rupali Dey Sarkar, Chairperson of Rajganj Panchayat Samiti, Prabha Kujur, the Pradhan of Shikarpur Gram Panchayat, Partha Pratim Pal, Secretary of the Belakoba Byabasayee Samiti, and several others.
