Rajganj, 30th June: Shamsul Mohammad, a 60-year-old resident of Mantadari Gate Bazar in Rajganj block, has been suffering from a serious foot disease for the past 12 years. Due to financial constraints, he has been unable to afford proper medical treatment, and his condition continues to worsen.
Reportedly, Shamsul lives near Gajoldoba in Gate Bazar with his wife Roshna Begum and their only son. The family runs a small tea shop and relies on his son’s daily wage income to survive. Around 12 years ago, Shamsul developed an unknown infection in his foot which gradually turned into a chronic wound. Though surgery at a nearby government hospital had temporarily brought the condition under control, the disease has recently re-emerged in a more severe form.
Now, with no means to bear the cost of treatment, the family is appealing for help. Roshna Begum said, “If the government or any kind-hearted individual comes forward, my husband could return to a normal life.”
