Rajganj Block Trinamool Mahila Congress expresses gratitude over ‘Lakshmir Bhandar’ hike

Rajganj, 20th February: The Rajganj Block Trinamool Mahila Congress expressed gratitude over the enhancement of the ‘Lakshmir Bhandar’ scheme by symbolically welcoming a woman as ‘Goddess Lakshmi’ during a workers’ meeting held at Sree Sangha Club ground on Friday.


Women leaders and supporters thanked Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for increasing the ‘Lakshmir Bhandar’ assistance by Rs 500 in the state budget. The symbolic gesture was organised to convey appreciation for the welfare initiative.

Speakers at the meeting highlighted 15 years of development under the state government and discussed the positive impact of various social welfare schemes. A film titled ‘Lakshmi Elo Ghore’ was screened to showcase the benefits of the West Bengal government’s public-oriented projects.


The programme was attended by Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy, District President of Trinamool Mahila Congress Nurjahan Begum, Jalpaiguri Zilla Parishad Chairperson Krishna Roy Barman, Sahakari Sabhadhipati Seema Chowdhury, Rajganj Panchayat Samiti Sabhapati Rupali Dey Sarkar, and Rajganj Block Trinamool Mahila Congress President Sarbani Dhara, along with other party leaders and workers.
