Fulbari, 17th January: In a commendable initiative, Rajganj BDO Prashant Barman searched for the people living in Champadgach across the barbed wire fence of the Fulbari-II Gram panchayat. On Wednesday, the BDO visited the zero point along the Indo-Bangladesh border and interacted with the families concerning their grievances and problems.
According to reports, about 45 families belonging to Fulbari II Gram Panchayat panchayat of Rajganj are currently residing at the zero point along the Indo-Bangladesh border. As a result, the residents have to cross the barbed wire fence for all their needs including food, convenience items, education, and medical facilities.
In this regard, BDO Prashant Barman travelled to the area to assess if the families were not deprived of all the necessary facilities including government schemes such as Lakshmi Bhandar, old-age and widow allowances, and other state government schemes such as Kanyashree and Oikyasree. Upon further survey, the BDO realized that the residents lacked several facilities and assured to endeavor to provide the eligible individuals with government benefits.
On the other hand, the residents stated that this was the first time a BDO had visited the area to address their needs. As a result, the residents were elated to receive the assurance of a solution to their several issues.
